At random: NAUTILUS has long been touted as the first Nuclear powered submarine. In fact, she was the first nuclear powered "anything". Nothing that moves was ever propelled by nuclear power before NAUTILUS.

I’ll keep my work here going, trying to get others who were not USSVI members. You’re encouraged to look there as well as here! Obviously, there’ll be some I miss and some I duplicate.

McLAUGHLIN, Robert A. “Mack” – Passed away in Santa Rosa on January 22, 2007 at the age of 83. Robert was a veteran of the US Navy and served during WWII, spending 7 years on Submarine Tinosa #283 . He was a Mason for several years, and volunteered for St. Vincent DePaul’s for 13 years. He was also a member of the New Hope Church in Cotati and volunteered for 5 years with their Food Program, feeding hundreds of families. Robert is survived by his wife Linda McLaughlin, son Steve McLaughlin, step children Suzanne Kitchens, Joseph Sailor and wife Joanne, Judith Bartley and husband Craig, Scott Sailor and wife Tiffany, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his firs wife Concepcion McLaughlin, and his son Michael McLaughlin.
