In case it applies to some of you young PC wizards (he said sarcastically) Ask Leo has been one of the channels I visit when I get perplexed and sometimes simultaneously stupid. |

I had to get Windows 11 when I got a new computer. The software wants you to save everything to the Cloud.
It is more complex to perform tasks that 10 required. I hate Windows 11.
I did the software update that they suggest and it stopped Office from working.
I had the Geek Squad bring it back to life, but it deleted ALL my e-mail addresses and calender info.
The person helping me said that Microsoft updates creates problems all the time.
I am a dumbs**t user and I don't need fancy software that is hard to use and creates more problems that it is worth. |

Britec09 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwGuIErVYTwand others offer tips to help navigate tech issues. When I search a subject online, doing an additional one in youtube itself yields more results written for folks like me. Explained to me like I was oh, maybe 11 years old. |

Thanks for the heads up Chris, I'm gonna hold on to W10 for as long as possible! |

I ended up with Windows 11 because my Norton Security package told me I had a software update.
I thought it was for Windows 10 as it had always been in the past.
I clicked update and ended up with 11 installed.
Windows 11 really pushes the cloud concept.

Tom, did you lose anything? I heard 11 is nothing like 10... |

Joe, I lost nothing; but I have to make sure that I don't use the default "save to the cloud" option.
I did need to get used to the new way to find my way around the computer.
