It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Doyle Burt Sewell, who left us unexpectedly in an accident on August 7, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on October 15, 1959, Doyle lived a life marked by service, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family and community. Doyle was a distinguished veteran who served his country with honor in the Navy, where he proudly served on submarines and as a Navy Seal. His commitment to excellence extended beyond his military service; he graduated from Fort Pierce Central High School and earned an Associate's Degree in Science and Physical Therapy from Indian River State College, embodying a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and personal growth. A devoted leader and community servant, Doyle was an active member of the Florida Jaycees, where he held the esteemed positions of past President of the Florida JCI Senate and State Advisor. His dedication to developing young leaders and fostering community growth was a testament to his generous spirit and belief in the potential of others. Doyle's impact on the lives of those he mentored will be felt for generations to come. Doyle found joy in life's simple pleasures, including his beloved pets-dogs, cats, and even rats-who brought him endless happiness and companionship. An avid golfer, he cherished the time spent on the course, where he formed lasting friendships and created cherished memories. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose warmth and wisdom touched the lives of all who knew him.
