At random: "I saw the submariners, the way they stood aloof and silent, watching their pigboat with loving eyes. They are alone in the Navy. I admired the PT boys. And I often wondered how the aviators had the courage to go out day after day and I forgave their boasting. But the submariners! In the entire fleet they stand apart!” -- James Michener

Just old fashioned I guess. I have 2 drawers full of plain old filament bulbs. Tried some of the new bulbs. Don't care for the glare. I like the soft warm glow. Interesting choice of lamps.

For Christ's sake Ric, look more closely at the picture. You need to get your eyes checked.

Ric, I couldn't have said it any better.
How do you spell "mullet"?

How do you spell "mullet"?   Since you asked, I spell it R - A - L - P - H.  You did notice that I was able to hook the two most prolific posters on this BBS.  Nice try on your recovery comment Ric.   I'm quite sure that everyone believed your response.

Looking at cost, we have quite a difference. Almost need a year's salary for a house full of LEDs.

Dan doesn't need a comeback Ric, you're your own worst enemy!  That's what gets Ralphy in trouble all the time too... AND Mr. Parker, I like the larger (ahhh) right hand lamp...

Nice try, you worn out old pharte. You and Dan don't get up early enough in the morning to catch me.
Both of ya hang around on street corners way too much.
