Subject: Obit Messenger results for 08/08/08.

PYFRIN, William A., 86, of Lantana, FL died August 5, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 30, 1922 in Connersville, IN. He served in the US Navy submarine force during WWII from 1942 to 1945. During this time he married his wife Norma Jean on February 28, 1944. After leaving the service, he returned to Indiana and worked as a machinist until moving to Lantana, FL in 1958 to start his career at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft where he worked until his retirement in 1983. His interests included golf, fishing, bowling, and traveling in his RV. He also was a well respected Little League umpire for the Lantana Athletic Assoc. from 1963 to 1990. He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean. He is survived by his daughter, Betty Schwartz (Roger), his son, Brad Pyfrin, and his daughter, Lee Anne Velez, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
