After a two year absence, the USS Intrepid has returned to her berth, Pier 86 on the West side of Manhattan. All repairs were completed in Staten Island....Welcome Home!

That's great news. I saw snippets of her underway on CNN today.

Any word on when Growler is coming back?

Us NYCSS types are waiting a coupla more weeks for Growler to come outta drydock at the NYNSS [Brooklyn Navy Yard] and tie up on the other side of the pier. We, the NYC Base of USSVI, have already been invited to act as honorary line handlers. Then we get our meeting place back too and we don't hafta use a conference room at the NYC office of Veterans Affairs.
