Location: Foothills of the Ozarks | Subject: Just completed 82 trips around the sun
Time to fulfill another item on my Bucket List. Next week CinCHouse and I shove off for Antarctica for a 14 day adventure, with stops in Argentina and Chile. This trip will tick off Every Continent and Every Ocean for me plus crossing every major Geographic Marker; Arctic Circle, Prime Meridian, Equator, International Date Line and Antarctic Circle. Still living the dream. As I reflect back on my 82 years on this big blue ball we call home I've been blessed to sail with some of the Best Shipmates anyone could ask for; serve with the Bravest Marines The Corps ever turned out (they kept me alive in Vietnam) and traveled this Country on a Harley meeting many of the Denizens who reside on this Board. Unfortunately, many of them have gone on Eternal Patrol but their memories are still alive in this old brain of mine. One of the days I'll turn up on one of Owen Carlson's Eternal Patrol Posts and that will be the end of it. But, for now I'm living each day like there's no tomorrow.

I've done Arctic Circle and Prime Meridian by Sea and on this trip will do Antarctic Circle by Sea. The Equator and International Date Line, unfortunately I've only done by Air. |
