I spoke to Ray Stone aka Ol Goat this morning and he reports that he is above ground and "back to battery" Told me he feels good and told me to tell all you guys "turn to"; and thanks for all the concern while he was ailing. He also confirmed that there are no calories in cigars so he didn't have to give them up in order to lose some weight.

First I've heard of Ray being down. What's going on?

Get yerself added to the list of shipmates who send cards to our ailing shipmates and you'll have all the news; or check with on the "Binnacle List" (see top right of page).
I can't give out details but Ray was undergoing some tests and they found stuff they didn't like. But, he told me he's okay now with some minor lifestyle adjustments.

I'll make sure your new e-mail is on the list; haven't sent one out for a while as everyone seems to be healthy

Was he suffering from TIE poisoning? I understand some of the paint in those hand painted ones is toxic. Especially if you chew on them, or wipe your mouth with them. Or should one wipe his ear out with one after someone planted a wet one there. Glad to hear he is better.
