At random: The USS Blenny SS 324, on her last patrol of WW II sank 63 vessels. One by torpedo and 62 by deck gunfire, demolition charges set by boarding parties or by burning. On several occasions shotguns were fired through the boats bottoms. These were all vessels under the 500 ton JANAC limit for tonnage sunk and not counted in the "official" totals or ships sunk. This is also a record for the most vessels ever sunk by a submarine on one patrol.

For you researchers, historians and avid submarine affecianados, our "War Patrol Reports" on DVD (by Submarine Memorabilia, Inc.) are now at their lowest price ever (and won't go down further).  These 63,000+ pages of 255 submarine reports are on four DVD's and come with an alphabetical listing of boat names and number of patrols (over 1,600).  Fascinating reading! This set originally started on 28 DVD's for over $600, but through the use of compressed .pdf formatting are now on just 4 discs and priced at $80...
