At random: Habitability is heavily stressed in the construction of modern submarines. Specially designed color schemes, mechanical conveniences, air conditioning, and the best chow in the Navy are supplied to make the vessels more livable. A full time staff is maintained by Electric Boat Division to work out 'human engineering' problems.

My wife a (since the Civil War) and I are going on an extended, no pressure, liesurely drive cross country on June 5th. We plan to see Winslow AR or AZ? of the Eagles song "Take it easy" and then the Painted Desert, Meteor Crater and cliff dwellings. Then to New Orleans one of our favorite places. After that to FLA and then North to VA where my son lives. Possibly to Newport RI where I was born. The point of this is anyone who would like to sit down for a cuppa coffee while we swing your way, please send contact info and we will give you a call and stop for short visit.

Bob and Smiley:
Thanks for the invite. I am planning a trip again. I plan to drive all over looking at old Corvettes. I have always wanted one. This time I will follow the leads and stay in touch by e-mail.
