At random: Coronation ceremonies of Emperor Alexander II of Russia in 1855 were enlivened by a submarine concert. Wilhelm Bauer, a Bavarian inventor, took three musicians under the waters of Kronstadt Harbor in a submarine he had built, where they played appropriate music during the coronation. The music was distinctly heard on the surface.

HOGUE, Dave, 64, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 7, 2007 at the age of 64 in Kingsland, TX. He was born December 8, 1942 in Atlanta, GA. He served in the United States Navy Submarine Service during Vietnam. Dave married his beloved Sharon "Jo" Fitzgerald while serving in the Navy on August 1, 1964 in Ballston Spa, NY. He retired from the IBM Corporation, served as a member of AWANA, the Power Squadron, and ABGA. He was a loving husband and doting father who cared greatly for his wife and children. Dave always had a story ready for any occasion. He will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife, Jo Hogue; son, Benjamin David Hogue and wife, Kara; sister, Frances Mayogene Grimes and husband, Elbert; nephew, Michael Grimes and mother-in-law, Eleanor Fitzgerald. John 3:16 "For God so loved the World, that He gave His only begotten Son, that who ever believes in Him shall not perish, but have Everlasting Life." Services Visitation will be Thursday, July 12, 2007 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral services will be Friday, July 13, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South with Pastor Gene Tone officiating. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
