My middle niece had an Ancestry DNA done and this is what came up for the family.

The next part was unexpected but thinking about it not totally surprising to find out.
Seems this is 53% more than other people taking the tests have. But less than 4% of overall DNA. Cool!!!! I'm almost 50% more Neanderthal than British or Irish!!!

Maybe Submariners were Neanderthals!!! Could have sworn some of the guys I sailed with had to have been!!

Looks like some damned fool went to Australia....

I too had my DNA test from Ancestry. Unfortunately they said there is not Royal Blood in my line. But not to worry, I have learned to accept the downside. Orthopod said he could fix my knee but not my skiing ability. Elbow doctor said he could remove the wires in my elbow from the break but couldn't help my golf game. So I just enjoy the information provided. Who knows Ric, Dex talked of Odin maybe he knows something about boat sailors.

Darn Ric, this is a Submarine BBS, you are just asking for a Ping reply on that statement. Something along the lines of a Bed and Breakfast for Officers only. However, I have reformed, I won't do it. The heck I won't. You called the Pantry work?

I had the midwarch most of the time and helping the night baker making bread and pastries every night for about half my watch plus soupdown and breakfast prep. Life was hell, (Ummmmm.. fresh hot bread...ummmmmm) Someone had to do it.

We had one cook that was great, the rest I felt just went through the motions.  I loved it when Crutch did the mid soup downs, whether I was mess cooking, or in the Seaman gang.  We were very lucky to have a cook that really took pride in his work.
