WARE, Robert Calhoun, was born on February 28, 1945 and passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017. Robert was a resident of Dublin, Georgia at the time of passing. He was a veteran of the United Navy Submarine Service where he served on the USS Tusk (SS-426). Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Baldrick's Foundation, 1333 South Mayflower Ave, Suite 400, Monrovia, CA 91016.


POOL, Ronald Keith, RM1(SS), USN, Ret., 78, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, born in Lubbock, TX, was a man who believed in doing what's right; always told his Sons, "You don't lie, you don't cheat, and you don't steal." A strong willed and dynamic person, he fought a long fight with numerous ailments in later years, bouncing back many times to finally succumb as a result of the failure of his body to respond on July 29, 2017, at 6:15 p.m. Present at his bedside were his wife of 52 years, Faye Pool (nee Phillips); sons, Michael Keith Pool and Kevin Carlisle Pool, and his wife Susan; and their sons, Brad-Lee and Keaton; his granddaughters, Katelyn Pool and Carlianne Crooms, with Ron's great-grandson, Elton Jackson Jennings also there via phone. Ron was a steadfast husband, a devoted member of the Elk's Lodge 242 in Charleston, SC; a proud member of the United States Navy, who served on the submarine tender USS Howard W Gilmore and the submarine USS Albacore as a Radioman First Class; and Retired Civil Service as Security Director for the Charleston Naval Shipyard. After retirement, Ron worked as a Realtor with his wife at Carolina One and Metro North (formerly Prudential Carolina). The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Thursday, August 3, 2017 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until the time of service. Memorials may be made to St. James Dames, 512 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445. A memorial message may be sent to the family by visiting our website at www.jhenrystuhr.com.
