He's doing well and hunkered down. All is OK for now. Has a generator if needed with few full gas cans to tide him through just in case..

I'm not worried about the gas for the generator, how's the single malt holding out? Inquiring minds want to know.

Got enough of my well single malt to last a few days, loaded up on beer yesterday, and the bank is on the corner and the street to the liquor store is clear! :-)

yesterday I emptied 6" out of the rain gauge and again today. But we have got another 3". So far NASA RD 1 has not been breached but it is getting close. Lots of flooding and high water. All the loops around Houston all have high water and if you manage to get on one of them, you might not be able to get off since the frontage roads are usually lower than the loops.

Also, all of the kids live here and haven't have any problems. Ginny (oldest) and her husband dropped their 1 year old daughter off at Susie's (youngest daughter) for baby sitting. They could pick her up until this morning after some of the roads cleared up.

both major airports here are closed until at least Wednesday and Terry is in NY and supposed to fly back Tuesday. Right now I couldn't get to either airport if you threatened me even if she could land here.
