Hey, Rick.
Is this worth considering for my old laptops ?

Bob
To tell the truth, I have never heard of this product before so anything I say is guessing.
Now, I did a small bit of searching and found this page that has folks going back and forth about it.

What I gather is it is a "flavor" of Linux. If you are serious about wanting to try a Linux distribution I would go either with Ububtu that Stave Adkatz ( AtoZ) is using, Talk to him about what he finds he likes about it and doesn't.
For me, I use LinuxMint 18.2 and haven't had anything to do with Windows for years now. I'd never go back them. I'd gladly help point you to them if you are interested.

As for the Xtra-PC you are talking about I can't tell if it is any good or not.

Send me an email from my web page and we'll talk some more if you like.

Watched/read the entire scam alert. Thanks for the heads up Ric. What a dishonest bunch of douches....

Oh, you would get the results they claim but you don't need to spend the money.
You can duel boot load Linux and not loose your current OS and try it out. I've found that "live load" CD's and thumb drive are much slower than a hard drive install. Duel boot lets you choose which OS you want to use when turning on your PC. Things saved to your Windows drive can be accessed from Linux and used and saved back. Things saved in Linux can not be accessed by Windows. Micro$oft doesn't let you access any other OS's or files on your computer that are not Miro$oft.
