CHASE, Ronald S., 71, of Wells, ME died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at his home. He was born Sept. 25, 1946, in Sanford, a son of Raymond V. and Marion Lucille (Guest) Chase. He was a graduate of Wells High School with the class of 1965. Ronald had served with the US Navy as an MM2 (SS) from 1966 to 1970. In 1996, he married Patricia Perrier at their home in Wells. He had been self employed as a carpenter and builder, retiring a year and a half ago due to illness. Ronald was a member of the Maine Sportsmen's Alliance and of the Submarine Veterans of Southern Maine. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and reloading ammunition. Surviving are his wife Patricia Chase of Wells; his five children, Candi Chase of Wells, Scott Chase and his wife Sherri of Wells, David Boston Jessica Keezer and family of Kennebunk, Cory Chase and his wife Carolyn of Wells, Austin Chase BM3 - US Navy of Wells; two brothers Reginald Chase of Wells, Barry Chase and his wife Heidi of North Berwick. There will be no visiting hours. Burial will be in the spring at Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Springvale. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford.
