1941 USS Swordfish SS193 sinks Japanese cargo ship Atsutasan Maru

1942 Pharmacist 1c Harry B. Roby performs an appendectomy on Torpedoman 1c W.R. Jones aboard the USS Grayback SS208. This is the second appendectomy performed aboard a submarine.
