At random: In their history, submarines were called by many names such as 'eel boats', 'plunging boats', 'devil divers', and 'pig boats'. Technically, and by size, the submarine is a ship, but it has been called a boat since its earliest days, and the term is steeped in tradition. Submariners almost invariably call their ships 'boats".

I bought one from ebay/Best Buy in March for $63.99, now $49.99
I don't print much, got tired of needing to buy a new inkjet cartridge every year. It's not a color printer, serves my occasional printing needs perfectly. Just a FYI

Agree. I have a Canon color inkjet and the ink cartridges kept drying up from dis-use. Bought a Samsung laser printer. Works great and I expect that I'll need to replace the toner cartridge in about 5 years or so.

Bought an earlier model HL-1220 YEARS ago.  Looks the the same machine.
Still printing, even in a college dorm room.

Can't beat Brother's printers in my opinion.

I have a Brother B&W Laser printer at my Winter abode. Wanted a Laser since it's not often used for the 3 months I'm there which would be awful for an ink jet. I also got it for around $70 a few years ago. My one regret is it doesn't copy. But I can deal with that another way. I need to replace the Toner Cartridge when I go back for $39 at Wally Mart. It does a nice job for what I bought it for. By the way, it took awhile of foreplay before it got along with my Windows 10 laptop.

I used to have large Duplex Samsung printers in the house. One went down after about twelve years, cost to repair was more than a new printer. Current one attached to this desktop computer is a Fuji CM215fw single-sided printer (fax, scanner and copier). Had it a couple of years now. On the first replacement cartridge set. Come as a box of 4 - reasonable price (for us).

Printer was on special at Costco. Presume a new model was on the way.

The cheaper the printer; the more expensive the consumables!
