Long overdue Ken... thanks again for your tireless efforts to post the obits - I read all of them and as time passes, find more folks that I know. It's a wonderful thing to acknowledge the passing of a shipmate although some of the closer ones hurt the heart a bit.
Nothing worse that having a shipmate slip away un-noticed! So thanks for helping us ensure that happens at an absolute minimum.

You guys are way-too kind... thanks! As you all know by now it is a labor of love making sure our shipmates are not forgotten; especially the WWII guys. When I started this project in late 2006 we had 7,825 SubVets WWII known to be on Eternal Patrol. This morning that number has grown to 16,329. The light is getting dim! These numbers do not include those men still on Patrol on our submarines lost at sea during WWII. Those guys are already memorialized at the excellent web site "On Eternal Patrol." If you have never poked around that site you need to. |

Ken,
I have mentioned it in the past but I will say it again. The service you provide to this BBS is invaluable; you are to be applauded for all the hard work and painstaking research it surely involves to keep it so detailed and informative. Personally, over the past 8 years, I have learnt of the passing of three RN shipmates which I otherwise would have been ignorant about. Thank you so much mate and Bravo Zulu to you.
