This week they are just tunes rather than songs. The first and second clips reveal two significant failures in my life. When in Piraeus in Greece, myself and some shipmates accidentally gate-crashed a local wedding. The people there were most welcoming and courteous by inviting us into their festivities. Later in the night when they played "Zorba's Dance", we tried to join in the dancing. Probably because we all had two left feet or just had too much Ouzo, as the music got faster we didn't last too long on the dance floor that night.
For years I tried to perfect playing "Maria Elena" on the guitar but always fell short of doing it well enough in my own estimation. These days I have plenty of time to practice but arthritis in my hands prevents me doing that so now I will never ever get it right. Last clip is two talented Peruvian musicians playing "Blue Spanish Eyes." Hope you like them.
