CAMPBELL, Robert A., 82, of North Kingstown, R.I. died peacefully on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Roberts Health Centre. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Augustus & Isabel Campbell. Mr. Campbell worked as a material control clerk with Electric Boat for many years until his retirement. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and served on the submarine USS Skipjack (SSN-585) and on surface ships. He was a Communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Wickford, member of Mount Vernon Lodge # 4, & the Fleet Reserve Association. In addition to his wife, of Darilyn F. (Moore) Campbell; .he leaves his loving daughter, Deanne D. Rathbun & her husband Kerry of Burke, VT. He was the father of the late Steven S. Campbell. Cherished grandfather of Justin A. Rathbun of Burke, VT and brother-in-law of Marsha L. Kenyon & her husband Richard of Exeter and Phyllis Campbell of Warwick. He was the brother of the late Edgar Campbell, Barbara Straight, Calvin Campbelll, & Roderick Campbell. His Requiem Eucharist will be held Monday, November 26, 2018 at 11:00 am in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 55 Main Street, Wickford. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery. Relatives & friends are invited & may call on Sunday from 3:00-6:00 pm in The Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home of Wickford, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. SAUNDERS, Jerry, Jr., 76, of Pleasantville, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was a US Navy veteran serving aboard a submarine as an electrician. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lancaster, real-estate agent, barber, horse trainer, paramedic, truck driver and gambler. Jerry is survived by his seven children, Jerry Lee (Teresa) Saunders of Ohio, Stephanie Saunders of South Dakota, Jennifer L. (Kenneth) Swaim of Georgia, Christopher A. (Pam) Saunders of Florida, Calista A. Byrns of Ohio, Steven A. (Nancy) Saunders of Georgia and Robyn L. Saunders of Ohio; 19 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Daniel J. Saunders of Oregon; sister, Doris J. Mayne of Ohio; brother-in-law, Donald E. DeLong of Ohio and cousin, Connie Switzer of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Rosetta Delong Saunders, parents, Jeramiah and Darsie Hicks Saunders, grandsons, Timothy Matthew Cheeks and Timothy Saunders, sons-in-law, Cameron Byrns and Paul Cheeks. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore, Ohio 43105, with Bishop Mark Holdcroft officiating. Burial will follow in Tschopp Cemetery. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Memorial gifts may be given to the family c/o the funeral home.
