At random: Modern nuclear submarines can travel faster submerged than they can on the surface. They can fully submerge in less than a minute.

WOW. That had to have been the show the crew put on. We missed it, dang but there were too many things to do! What a great cruise. With the possible exception of Sunday.... "unusually rough" seas was what the captain said, wasn't it? After a "few" refreshments Saturday night I was somewhat queasy most of Sunday. Took from 11am to 3pm to sneak a bloody mary into my stomach. By dinner time I was fine. For that kind of weather our boat would just go deeper but I'm glad they didn't do that this trip.

I'm ready to sign up for next one! This was our first cruise but I hope not the last. From everything we learned, tho, we all got spoiled by this cruise being aboard Holland America. Apparently, if we try most other lines we'll have a little disappointment when it comes to service and food.

Didn't get to see the show...hubby was a "little green around the gills"...and I was not far behind him. But from what I saw of repeat on ship's tv, it looked great. The crew was just so great...especially one little lad known at breakfast on Lido deck as "Okey, Dokey"...he was a hoot!

Patty:

The littleĀ lad known at breakfast on the Lido deck was named "Honkey Dory".
