At random: Traditionally, United States submarines have been named after fish and other marine creatures. One exception was the Navy's first submarine HOLLAND which was named after its inventor, John Philip Holland. Today, ballistic missile submarines are named for famous American patriots, with the newest class, the OHIO class, named after states. The LOS ANGELES class of attack submarines are named for United States cities. The nations news class of submarine, the Virginia class, is also named for US States, making them the capital ships of the navy.

If this message is visible, you can start posting again.

If you find any bugs in the BBS or on the SubmarineSailor.Com main site, let me know - thanks!

Also note that I'm no longer hosting BottomGun.Com separately for the BBS so now you can use either SubmarineSailor.Com or BottomGun.Com anywhere... they're both identical now.

The BBS runs on Microsoft SQL Server 2005 now and it seems to be a bit faster and should be more stable.

Cheers...

Hi all...we are back on dry land...none the worse for wear...well, a little...a few days of being "green around the gills", but the trip was great. Took lots of pictures...not all downloaded yet...and not sure of how to post one yet...new program for them...probably have to save them to "my pictures", but I will try. So, how is everyone here...got a little flustered when I couldn't get in here last night...but now I see that our illustrious webmaster is on the case...GOOD JOB, MASTER WEBMASTER!

Well, I am going to make this short...much to do.
