At random: Traditionally, United States submarines have been named after fish and other marine creatures. One exception was the Navy's first submarine HOLLAND which was named after its inventor, John Philip Holland. Today, ballistic missile submarines are named for famous American patriots, with the newest class, the OHIO class, named after states. The LOS ANGELES class of attack submarines are named for United States cities. The nations news class of submarine, the Virginia class, is also named for US States, making them the capital ships of the navy.

I do believe that was during the first Torsk work weekend. That was a long time ago. The tourists walking through the boat that weekend got a real treat. Hooters didn't do too bad either.

I remember doc telling that story, I was standing right there as Ray ran the camera. BillyBob is sitting to Doc's left. You can just see his arm. This is the one where Moose carried Doc back from Hooters under his arm after every one got thrown out as I remember the story.

Isn't this also the weekend that a certain incident occured in Hooters and involved a neck chain? I believe that's the reason all were politely asked to depart Hooters. There was also Dex not understanding the parking rules in the fine city of Baltimore. The Saturday meal on Taney's fantail had more submarine NTINS than I could remember. You don't hear much from many of them on the BBS' any more. Too bad.
