AURES, Sr., Glenn Louis, 81, of Spencerport, NY, died September 30, 2007. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Glenn was proud to be a WWII Naval Submarine Veteran, USS Flounder SS-251. He was a life member of Navy Club of Lake Ontario Ship 1812, an Eastman Kodak Retiree and a Registered Diver with the Sheriff of Erie County. Glenn enjoyed playing his accordion and scuba diving. His laughter, kindness and loving ways have touched us all. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie Aures; children, Bonita Aures, Linda (Tom) Harissis, Glenda (Kim) Williams, Glenn (Mary) Aures Jr., Marsha (Doug Anderson) Aures; his beloved grandchildren & great grandchildren who gave him so much pleasure; sister-in-law, Carole (Robert) Blandford; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and loving friends. CRADDOCK, George W., 80, of Lynchburg, passed Wednesday, October 3, 2007. He was the loving husband of 61 years, to Maude Chernault Craddock. Born Oct. 30, 1926, in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Charles "Shack" Craddock and Laura Booth Craddock. George was a devoted servant to his nation having served 23 years in the U.S. Navy Submarine force, Norfolk Shipyard and 13 years of civil service at the U.S. Naval Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repair QA Dept., in Portsmouth. He served his Lord as a Sun-day school teacher and past Deacon of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church, in VA Beach and until his passing at Beulah Baptist Church, in Lynchburg. He was preceded in death by a sister, Muriel C. Brown; and a brother, Robert E. Craddock. In addition to his wife, survivors include three children, Joyce Craddock Lyons and husband, Darryl "Butch", of Plano, Texas, George W. "G.W." Craddock Jr., of Norfolk and Charles Edward "Eddie" Craddock, of Lynchburg; grandson, Michael "Mitch" Lyons, of Plano, Texas; and other relatives and friends. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, he was known and loved by many. Peaceful passage 'til we unite on the other side. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at Beulah Baptist Church, by the Rev. Dr. Maurice McCarthy. Interment will take place in New Hope Cemetery, with military honors by American Legion Post 104. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. DALLA, Mariano "Mike", 95, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 30, 2007, in San Martin. Born on Jun. 14, 1912 in Tacoma, WA, Mike lived a full and happy life. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy for 28 years. Mike began his military career April 3, 1937 on the USS Holland and retired October 1, 1965. Among his numerous awards and commendations were the World War II Victory Medal, the American Theater Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Area Victory Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the American Defense Medal and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon (1 star). Mike served in the submarine base at Pearl Harbor and earned a special commendation for "prompt, courageous and effective action in fighting fire on board USS Argonaut on September 13, 1941." He was part of the submarine crew responsible for sinking a large portion of the Japanese fleet off Midway Island near the end of World War II. After the war, he spent many years in Connecticut training new submariners. He earned a second retirement after working 20 years in construction as a member of the Carpenters Union. He enjoyed repairing old televisions, radios, refrigerators and other appliances for those less fortunate. He was an avid golfer who insisted on always pulling his own cart, even when playing his final round at age 94. He joins his beloved wife, Drusilla Dalla, who passed away last year, and an older sister, Jeanette Webster of Tacoma, who died earlier this year at age 96. He is survived by a younger brother, Angelo Dalla of San Jose, age 94; his four children and their spouses: Willow and Glenn Bunting of Santa Monica, Michael Dalla of Gustine, Frederick Dalla of Campbell, and Joey and Cindy Dalla of San Martin; ten grandchildren: Justin Secola, Philip Bunting and Michelle, Jeffrey, Christine, Michael, Robbie, Brian, Annette and Travis Dalla. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2007 at OAK HILL FUNERAL HOME & MEMORIAL PARK, 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA.


KRAFT, Eskel Lee, died on Tuesday, October 2, 2007. Beloved husband of the late Edna A. Kraft (nee Golobic); dear father of John (Paula) Kraft and Janet (Ronald) Copeland; dear grand father of Kelly, Katie, Casey and John; dear great-grandfather of Aidan, Adam and Zavier; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd., Friday, October 5, 10:30 a.m. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
