Sigh of relief...you made it through.

A tough road ahead for certain, but then you're a tough old bird.

Best of luck, and I'll continue thinking about you.

Damn, it's great to hear from you. I read your post above and just knocked the cap off a cold one in your honor. I just read this in a fortune cookie..."Warshot will live to 110 and die in a bawdy house free-for-all." so you're OK. Welcome back dear friend DEX

I, too am looking forward to my autographed copy of your book.

If you remember, I bought a copy of "Torpedoman" from you for my brother's 80th birthday. I'm not certain that he read all the way through it because of his compromised vision, but we did discuss what he was able to read. I hope that his daughter still has it. She took a lot iof his stuff to her home so that she can sort through it at her leisure.

His home sold this week. As long as it didn't sell it was still his home. Now, another rite of passage that I have to go through.

Rest, my friend, while you can. Build up your strength and smell the roses. Glad you got over this bump in the road.

Great to hear you are up, not necessarily about, but that will come. I was going to say something smart-alec (and Navy), like, "Glad to hear you are finally off your dead ass, and onto your dieing feet," but don't think I will. Welcome back to the board!

I am glad to see you back on line. I know that dialysis can take a lot out of you, but you feel better the next day. Don't let it get you down.

Ditto what everyone else already said but I will add that the last five years of my fathers life was filled with dialysis 3 time a week. He would feel kind of sluggish after the 4hr ordeal of kicking back hooked up to the machine but the next day he always felt pretty good then back to the dialysis center and repeat the day before yesterday again. Sometimes I'd stick around and BS with him or some of the other people there and other times I'd take off and hit the jetty for a couple hours or just walk around the marina before going back and bringing him back home. In between times I tried to keep working out of my garage wrenching so I don't think I've ever been bored or with nothing constructive to do.
Good to see you back and feisty!

There is nothing I can say that adequately expresses my feelings of appreciation to you and the other giants who have blessed our community.
May you have many good years to come.
