At random: USS TRITON, the only American made twin reactor submarine ever built, on May 10, 1960, completed the first totally submerged non-trivial circumnavigation of the world when she followed the route of Ferdinand Magellan for 36,000 miles during 84 days beneath the surface.

Subject: Two Items Found After USSVI Cruise

All,

I received a call the other day from Ruth Russo (widow of PNC Steve Russo).

After the cruise she & several members of her family went on a tour of Seattle on one of the tour busses.

After the tour she found two hats left on the bus. From her discription, they're ball caps. One of them is dark blue woth "Alaska 2007" embroidered or printed on it. The other is tan and has some wording printed on it. I don't know what the printing is.

Anywho, pass the word along to your Bases & shipmates that the hats have been found.

If anyone "steps up," pass my email and phone number (home & cell) to them. I'll make sure that the person gets in touch with Ruth.

Thanks for your help.

HSN,
Tom
