Why is it that every once in a while I have to re-register because when I log in, it tells me that I am a 'Guest.'

Then, when I give my User Name, I'm told that this User Name is already taken ? ? ?

Has this happened to anyone else, or should I be paranoid?

About every three months. But I don't re-register, I just "Log In" with my User Name and Password.

What I think happens is the BBS issues a "cookie" to your computer, so the BBS knows it's you when you visit. That cookie allows you to click right in without having to "Log In" every visit (unless you "Log Off" at the end of a visit). But the cookie has an expiration date, and when it expires, the BBS sees you as a Guest until you "Log In" and renew the cookie.

Next time it happens, try click the "Log In" button, not the "Register" button.
