At random: There are more airplanes at the bottom of the ocean than there are submarines in the sky; therefore I chose submarines over aviation.

A very old car. Will need a photo of the front end. My first impression of the sloped rear is a Plymouth but what year is not getting it.

I wouldn't bet more than $13.96 but Google a 1935 REO
.Checking the 4 door, slick back end and the stamped wheels and the shape of that rear quarter window, headlight placement and fender shape.

Also think about a Studebaker 1937 or 38.

Looked up Nash on Wikipedia. There's some very interesting information there, especially if you're a gear head.

The question was "what is this?"

Looks like a hung over sailor who lost his car keys.

And, it might be Mud Season from the look of the tires.

It sure is shiny!  Mud all over the fenders, but look at his reflection!

My question is why are his pant legs rolled up almost to his knees?

He's keeping his whites clean walking on a dirty dusty road. When he gets to the ship he can wipe the dist off his shoes with a handkerchief and roll this pants legs down and have a clean uniform.
