At random: On August 17, 1958, the USS SKATE circumnavigated the globe in about fifty minutes. The SKATE was at a radius of about two miles from the North Pole at the time, and the distance traveled in the circumnavigation was about twelve miles.

Bravo Zulu to Tim and his shipmates from Gold Coast USSVI for their Caps4Kids program as described in latest issue of American Submariner Magazine.
The article mentions that they receive much more than they give to kids undergoing serious medical treatments. Keep up the fine work, Tim!

Thank you all. It is hard to see those little tykes going through so much but very rewarding to have visited with them.

The Kaps-4-Kids is a great program for us as well as the kids.

Do you all like the Submarine wall art? That was painted after our first visit so of course with we assume it was to honor us.

Thanks again, T.Spoon
