VALICEK, Donald F., 74, of Goose Creek, husband of Nancy Zilker Valicek, entered into eternal rest October 24, 2007 at a local hospital. Donald, the son of the late Edward Valicek and Freda Kraft, was born July 1, 1933 in East Aurora, New York. He retired as a Master Chief in the US Navy (MCPO) Submarine Service, where he served for 26 years. He also retired from the Bayer Corporation. He was a member of the VFW and Fleet Reserve. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years; his two sons, Barry Valicek (Michelle) of New Bern, NC, and Brian Valicek (Renee) of Moncks Corner; four daughters; Sharon Kapicka, of Moncks Corner, Deborah Valicek, of Goose Creek, Bonnie Callegan (Michael), of Charleston, and Brenda Martin (David) of Goose Creek; his grandchildren: Marsha, Melissa, Alicia, Ryan, Shena, Alexis, Erin, Lindsay, Porter, Jerrad, Tyler, Morgan, Rachel, Courtney, Lucas, and Logan; his 9 great-grandchildren; and his nephew, Randy Valicek (Amelia), of Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Howard Dehlinger and his brother, Edward A. Valicek. Funeral services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, Bank of America Bldg. North Charleston, SC 29406.
