SEBBY, Alverne E. (Bud), 91, died November 1, 2007. He was born December 23, 1915 in Ottawa, IL, and proudly served his country in the US Navy during World War II aboard the submarines USS S-32 (SS-137) and USS Lionfish (SS-298). He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and was Plant Manager at Pet Dairy before opening S-W Laboratory in 1960. Preceded in death by parents, George and Jenny Moe Sebby; brother, O.J. Sebby; sisters, Joyce Marshall and Lois Wold. Survived by wife Catharine; daughters, Dianne Turner, Sara Nichols and husband Nalan; step-daughters, Patsy Huffman, husband James, Linda Birchfiel and husband Ross; grandchildren, Kimberly Turner Faubion and husband Robert, David Turner Jr., Christopher Nichols and Lindsey Nichols; great-grandchildren David Turner III, Dylan Turner, Derek Turner, Sarah Faubion, Hannah Faubion and Rebekah Faubion; sisters, Georgia Marshall, husband Walter, Mary Smith and husband Ben; numerous step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, with funeral following at 8:00 p.m. at the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel, Rev. Don Thomas and Rev. Bill Nickle officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, at Lynnhurst Cemetery with military honors by Tennessee National Guard. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 5613 Western Avenue, Knoxville 37921. Arrangements by Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W.
