At random: The Grampus and Pike were commissioned in ceremonies at Mare Island the same day, Thursday, the 28th of May 1903. A young naval officer, Lieutenant Arthur MacArthur III, older brother of General Douglas MacArthur, assumed command for both vessels at the same time.

A mixed bag for you guys this week. A track from the Cadillac’s about a woman’s shoe obsession and a great track from Ronnie Dunn called “Believe”. Following that one from John Mayer with “The Breeze”, I feel J.J. Cale would have approved this version. Next is a rare performance by Joe Brown with his beautiful and talented wife, Vicki, with “Sea of Heartbreak.” Sadly, Vicki, a Liverpool girl, passed on a few years back, leaving Joe broken-hearted. Last, but not least, is “The Boss” Bruce Springsteen in concert.
