PACZEWSKI, Robert F., died November 13, 2007. Bob was a proud Navy Veteran of the U.S. Submarine Service. He had been a Process Server with the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office and a member of FOP #5. He was the husband of Virginia (nee Bugnowski), father of Robert F. Jr. (Barbara Ann) and Alexander J. grandfather of Robert F. III, Ryan A., James A., Christopher P., Brandon J. and Cynthia Ann, brother of Chester "Butch" (Kathy). WESTERFIELD, William George, 77, a longtime resident of Parsippany, died on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at the New York Presbyterian Hospital after a short illness. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing today, Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Rd., Parsippany, (973) 887-3235, or visit partroyfuneralhome.com. Born and raised in Newark, Mr. Westerfield moved to Parsippany in 1964. Bill served as a petty officer on the submarine USS Becuna (SS-319) from 1949 to 1953. He was a member of the US Submarine Veterans Holland Club, a group for those designated as Qualified in Submarines, for more than 50 years and enjoyed attending SS Becuna reunions. After his service, he attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he received his degree in electrical engineering. He was a founding member of the veterans fraternity Alpha Sigma Mu. Bill retired from Verizon in 1989 as the director of space utilization for Northern New Jersey. After his retirement, he enjoyed working as a substitute teacher in both Parsippany and Montville schools. Bill was an active volunteer for the Bickford Theatre Guild, Planned Parenthood, the Interfaith Food Pantry and Community Soup Kitchen, and had received numerous awards and acknowledgements for his service. His other interests were attending opera and ballet performances. He was also interested in short wave radio morse code. He was also a member of the Morristown Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Westerfield; son, Christopher, and friend, Patricia Irish; daughter, Navy Captain Anne Westerfield and son-in-law, Thomas Ward, of Annandale, Va.; daughter, Elaine, and son-in-law, E. Drew Britcher; grandson, Sean, and granddaughter, Caitlin, of Parsippany.
