Pres. George Bush the First was a submariner for 30 days. Recent news video from Michigan TV of rescue of Aviator Bush by USS Finback. Picked this up on Rontini's BBS.

I'm surprise he didn't get "carded" by the rescuers, he didn't look like he was old enough to fly......jokes aside, shows what terrific young people we had in WW II....
+ they're just as terrific now....We have a great country.....
