At random: A submarine often navigates by sound when submerged. Sound can travel 3,000 nautical miles or more through water.

Subject: Pigboats!

Gentlemen,

Many of you may be familiar with Ric Hedman's excellent website "Through the Looking Glass". Ric and I have recently partnered with Rick Larson MMCM(SS) Ret. to create a new site called Pigboats.com. The emphasis of the site is on the early history of our submarine force, but with an occasional foray into more modern subjects. "Through the Looking Glass" has been preserved as a compartment on the new site, and we have added a lot of new content. We have worked long and hard on the site and are pretty proud of it. It is intended to be a work in progress so check back often to catch up on new content. Surf on over and take a look. Let us know what you think and if you would like to contribute, or have additions or corrections shoot us an email.

The link is http://pigboats.com

Take care!!

You guys are in my Navy Bookmarks now. Looks like I have another place to wonder around and get lost in.
