P. J. Proby is an American-born singer/songwriter who came to England in 1964 and decided to stay here during the British big beat period and build a career. At one point in his earlier days, he supplied demo discs to Elvis Presley for his consideration for recordings. Happy that he stayed because this guy could sing everything from popular music to soul and rock ānā roll and enjoyed at least ten top hits during the sixties. Still lives here and at 83 still does occasional sell-out shows across the nation and his voice is still great.
