Back in the day it was only one bridge.

I saw the fire on the news last nite. It was a really bad and intense fire that melted the guardrails on the bridge. It's gonna be a while before that side is allowed to be used...

Without looking it up, I think the Thames runs south to Long Island Sound therefore a crossing bridge would be e/w. |

Thanks. When I last crossed the Gold Star Memorial bridge, The interstate system wasn't even a gleam in Eisenhower's eyes. Grins.
