(20, 20, 20);">Reports are emerging that a Chinese submarine has crashed near the disputed Taiwan Strait, sparking a major incident.

(20, 20, 20);">China has long threatened to make a move for Taiwan, which sees itself as an independent nation despite not being officially recognised by the United Nations. And, two days ago, Xi Jinping launched military drills in the area as a "stern warning".

(20, 20, 20);">Chinese officials have yet to confirm the crash nor have they confirmed the fate of the passengers on board the submarine.

(20, 20, 20);">However, reports claimed that a Type 093 (Shang class) People's Liberation Army nuclear-powered submarine suffered a major accident, killing everyone aboard the vessel.

I have a google alert named "submarine" and every week since August, this story keeps popping up.

https://www.marineinsight.com/shipping-news/55-chinese-sailors-presumed-dead-after-nuclear-submarine-became-trapped-underwater-according-to-sources/

https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/chinese-nuclear-submarine-suffers-catastrophic-failure-what-we-know-4451948

So far, I haven't seen a source credible enough to make me believe this story.

Traveling via the internet one should always be skeptical. Finding big news items that aren't reported by multiple, reputable sources shouldn't be trusted. I wouldn't have found this classic image of how feeding folks is done without thinking skeptically.
