BOUSHLEY .. .. .. Charles Boushley of Mesa AZ passed away Saturday February 3, 2024 at home.
Born July 1, 1929 the son of Charles B and Anna M (Hopkins) Boushley in Lanark Wisconsin.
Charlie served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict as an electrician's mate aboard the submarine USS Cusk. And took part in the first missile launch from the deck of a US submarine.
He and bride Betty (Curtis), the love of his life, were married in Glendale, California in 1950. In 1958 they loaded up their four children and moved to Phoenix AZ. From Phoenix they moved to Prescott AZ for a time and then ended up in Mesa.
Three of their children survive: Starr Davis, Bob and Dale Boushley. Daughter Shelly Biele passed away last year.
A celebration of life for Charlie and Shelly will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 4640 E Holmes Ave, Mesa, AZ 85206, Saturday February 10th at 10 AM.
Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Mesa AZ.


SPRAINIS .. .. .. Andrew “Andy” Sprainis, Jr., 72, lived in Salisbury, MD and on January 11, 2024, died of health complications. He was born on August 5, 1951, in Catonsville, MD. Ellicott City and Mt Airy MD. were home for most of his life.
After graduating from Catonsville High School in 1969, Andy served in the US Navy submarine force, followed by an entrepreneurial career. He founded “Just A Buck, Inc,” one of the first dollar stores in Baltimore. After that business, his pursuits surrounded real estate investment, development, and home building and was in the process of completing a Salisbury house and then retire to Ocean City. He was a great cook and dreamt of opening a restaurant named “Cheap Joe’s”. 
Andy was a skilled golfer, an impressive boogie boarder, a passionate Harley Davidson motorcyclist, an avid antique collector, a lover of skiing, and a natural pool player with teams in Frederick and Salisbury. He was also a huge fan of the Orioles and the Ravens. Andy was a spirted soul, had a wicked sense of humor and took on many passions. He never shied away from a challenge. To him everything was possible. Andy was a devoted father, fiercely loyal to family and friends. He always showed up when it mattered. He was independent, strong, and kept his loved ones safe.
He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew Sprainis, Sr. and Ida Sprainis, daughter Alexandra Sprainis and four half-brothers and three half-sisters.He is survived by his son, Stephen Sprainis (Randallstown, MD) daughter Danielle Sprainis (Salisbury MD), sisters Jeannette Latzo (Ocean Pines MD) Leona Sprainis (FL), Dolores Olszewski (Bel Air, MD), and many nieces and nephews. 
A Celebration of his life will be on April 27th 1 PM at Ocean Pines Golf Club, 100 Clubhouse Dr. Ocean Pines, MD

PRATT .. .. ... Cheshire - William C. Pratt, age 36, of Cheshire, passed away unexpectedly on February 1, 2024. He was the husband of Jennie (Flaherty) Pratt. 
William was born August 28, 1987, in Bennington, VT, the son of Cecil William Pratt and Julianne Mary (Klitsch) Thompson. William served in the United States Navy for 8 years. He was assigned to the submarine, U.S.S. Virginia and then stationed in Groton at NSSF as a Quality Assurance Inspector. He was honorably discharged in 2018. He went on to become a CNC machine technician, most recently working at Hanwha Aerospace in Cheshire, CT. William was a kind and gentle soul. He loved his girls and always put them first. Family was the most important to him; vacationing together, playing games and just being together. He also loved spending time with his fur babies, Cooper, Tucker and Miley.  
Besides his wife of 5 years, and his mother and father, William is survived by his 3 daughters, Layla, Tessa and Jordyn, his siblings, Christopher (Megan) Campbell of VT, Michael (Christy) Carey of NY, Darren (Desirae) Pratt of VT, Mark Klitsch of NY, Steven Thompson  and Jeanna Thompson, his in-laws Greg (Kathy) Flaherty and sister-in-law Jaime Newland, He also has 3 nephews, Jacoby, Mason and Chase and 3 nieces, Lauren, Ava and Kinnleigh, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

STAVIG ... .. Stavig, Andrew age 60, of Mpls, died June 14, 2008. Preceded in death by father, Clifford. Survived by his mother, Dorothea; brother, Robert (Vicki); niece, Christina Stavig & nephew, Michael Stavig. Andy was born in Sisseton, SD, and attended South Dakota State. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam on USS Rainier and on submarines USS Narwhal and USS Silversides. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorial service 11:30 AM Thursday at: Washburn-McReavy Werness Brothers Chapel 2300 W Old Shakopee Rd 952-884-8145
