At random: “What wordy praise can one give such men as these; men who … follow unhesitatingly when in the vicinity of minefields so long as there is the possibility of targets … Men who flinch not with the fathometer ticking off two fathoms beneath the keel … Men who will fight to the last bullet and then start throwing the empty shell cases. These are submariners.” - Eugene Fluckey in his final war patrol report aboard USS Barb

Tango Charlie is sitting up there in Caribou with over 155 inches of snow so far this season, and his computer modem is all fruz up. He has asked me to post this here for him...

Shipmates,
In 2007 we sold out of the Brothers of the Dolphin CD. Possibly this year I will sell out of the three CDs that I have for sale. My stock is as follows: TAKE HER DEEP - 278 copies, IN HONOR OF . . . - 243 copies, and SPIRITUALS 388 copies. As with the BROTHERS CD, when they are gone, that's it. Also, Bobby Reed has a new CD WHERE'S MY CREW with a total of 500 made, and he has a few hundred of his PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN VETERAN left. When my CDs are gone, I will be out of business. (And I'm looking forward to it.) Thank you for taking us this far. Proud to be your shipmate. Tommy Cox

That's certainly bad news.I have my Tommy CD's,but does "going out of business"
mean that his music won't be available to future generations and our CD's(some of have him on vinyl)will become "collector's items?

Hi John,

Thank you for the post from Tommy. I have advised the Bergall crew of your post.

So tell us again how those of us who DON'T have a complete set of Tommy Cox discs can get them before they disappear forever?

Go to http://donmac.org/SS%20Files/Ordering%20info.htm
and you'll see the info. Tommy doesn't do credit cards, PayPal etc. ... get a check in the mail to him with what you want as a memo. Ask nice and he'll maybe autograph the CD.
'Take Her Deep' is a classic that belongs in the collection of ANY boat sailor, but I can't speak for the others still available.
Act FAST, is my advice.
