Subject: Obit Messenger results for 03/11/08.

PATRIE, Frank Nelson “Pat”, 80, died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Sacred Heart Hospital after a lengthy surgery. Pat was born to Frank Russell Patrie and Mary Shield on June 29, 1927 in the Bronx, New York. He joined the Navy in September of 1944 and honorably served in the United States Navy Submarine Service for 32 years. He retired in June of 1976. After his service, he went to work for Sears and retired after 10 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Russell; and sister, Dorothy. He was married to Eva Ruth Neumeister Patrie for 45 years, until her death in 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Evelyn Anne-Marie Fish; his son-in-law and shipmate, Winston Fish; his granddaughter, Colleen Eva-Marie Lowe; great granddaughter, Caroline Ruth-Marie Lowe; and his faithful dog, Sami. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends, since Pat never met a stranger. Graveside services and interment will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Barrancas National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. EASTERN GATE MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations to the North West Florida Wild Life Sanctuary or Humane Society would greatly please Pat. We love you, Opi. May you rest in peace and have "Fair Winds and Following Seas."
