Huh what?
Oh yeah! Thanks for the plug. There have been ideas shared, pictures shown, how-to-restore stuff thoughts, and possibly parts shared. We need more people who love the sub museums, more people who volunteer at the sub museums, and more people who know about submarines involved there.
Thanks to some kindness of some people out there and a sponsor, I am now an Associate Member of the USSVI and Lockwood Internet Base. It's exciting!
Come check out http://www.submarinemuseums.org and see what you think. The goal of the website was to make it super easy for someone to find a submarine museum to visit near them. The goal of the forum is to unite those prospective visitors with the submarine volunteers, experts, and veterans. A place to mingle and interact between the sub museums for the greater good of all.
Thanks to all of you and thanks to the USSVI and LIB. All a mighty fine bunch of people.

The only sugestion that I have is to change the Torsk link that takes you to Baltimore Maritime Museum to the USS TORSK BBS and that is www.usstorsk.org
the people will have a chance at two different bbs's there and be able to see pic of her in commision and the past work weekends.. Other then that you have built a fine link in my opinion

Having made some of the Torsk Work Weekends and developing a very personal affinity for her continued well being, I fully concur with Darrin's comments. The Torsk Volunteer Association has matured into a very exemplary operation. Their web site is comprehensive and has some great pictorial history of the Torsk and the tender loving care that she's benefitted from in recent years. Your great coverage on our museum boats is also appreciated. I've had the pleasure of visiting a dozen or so of them including multiple visits for some.

On the front page table, I prefer to use the "official" website of the submarine museum or the park that it is located within. This is so someone who is thinking about visiting can easily find everything they need to know about museum hours/directions/etc.
BUT take notice on the forum:
http://www.submarinemuseums.org/forum
you'll see that each sub museum has the "official" website listed first, followed by any related site, such as the wonderful usstorsk.org site. Also listed there is the mailing address and contact phone number for each museum boat.
And I must say, the Torsk has a very impressive following and website. As does the Cavalla and Batfish.
Thanks for the comments guys, I hope my explanation has made some sense. |

You spoke and I listened.
SUBMARINEMUSEUMS.ORG now sports a new, easier to read, dark text on white background look. I apologize for any reading problems I caused any of you.
Go see what you think!
