At random: The USS Blenny SS 324, on her last patrol of WW II sank 63 vessels. One by torpedo and 62 by deck gunfire, demolition charges set by boarding parties or by burning. On several occasions shotguns were fired through the boats bottoms. These were all vessels under the 500 ton JANAC limit for tonnage sunk and not counted in the "official" totals or ships sunk. This is also a record for the most vessels ever sunk by a submarine on one patrol.

I noted the below 'At random' factoid (those changing quotes and trivia bits at the top of Gentry's pages) regarding, I believe, your namesake:

At random: Robert Fulton, inventor of the steamboat, was an avidsubmarine enthusiast. He built several submersible warships, one ofwhich was known as the Nautilus.

Flappy one, Yep, thats my Uncle Bob. I'm named after him: John Robert (Steamboat) Fulton. Inventor extrodinaiar of the steamboat, submarine and other useful devises. Only problem is, if he recieved any wealth from those patents, it did not tricle down to my side of the clan.
Dex, now you know yer telling a lie.... there ain't nothing slim about me no mo and you know it. And about the beer nuts.... I would comment on that too, but there may be ladies present.
