HUNT, Sr., John Earl, 89, of Wilmington, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Jack was born November 28, 1918, in Wilmington, NC, son of the late Edward Vincent Hunt and Katherine Eitel Hunt. Mr. Hunt served on a submarine in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service with over 30 years of service. There were three loves in Jack's life; his golf, he was a member of the CGA of the Carolinas, once placing second in the Wilmington City Open, his gardening and yard work with his azaleas, and last but not least, he loved his family, especially his granddaughter, Breyley. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Billie Hunt; son, John E. Hunt, Jr. and wife, Mellinee, and granddaughter, Breyley Hunt, of Southport, NC; daughter, Sandra H. Quinn and husband, Robert, of Georgetown, SC; two nieces, Kitty Kosh and Libby Pearson; and nephew, Gary Williams. Three brothers, Edward, Patrick, and Linwood Hunt, and one sister, Margaret Williams, preceded him in death. His memorial service will be 3pm Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Andrews Market Street Chapel with Rev. Francis Daniel officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, at the funeral home, from 2pm until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jack's memory to First Tee of Wilmington, c/o ProGolf / Tee Smith Custom Golf, 323 Eastwood Rd, Wilmington, NC 28403, or to the charity of one's choice. MARCO, Bernard, 85, of Santa Fe, NM passed away April 9, 2008. During WWII Bernard served with the US Navy submarine service. He was past President and a long time member of the Jewish War Veterans of NM. He is preceded in death by his son, Jeffery ;and sister, Miriam Kurtzman. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his son, Rand both of Santa Fe; daughter, Kerry Martin and husband, George of San Jose, CA; grandchildren: Larissa, Rebecca and Jeffrey Martin; and many other loving extended family members and friends. Memorial Service will be held Sunday,. April 13, 2008, at noon, at Congregation Beit Tikva at 2230 Old Pecos Trail In Lieu of flowers his family has requested memorial contributions be directed to: Congregation Beit Tikva, P.O.
