FREYTAG, Robert Philip, 71, of Cumming passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville. He was born in Brunswick, Maine. He resided in Port Jervis, NY, until moving to Cumming in 1983. Mr. Freytag was a 28-year veteran of the US Navy serving in the submarine services, a life member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 17, life member of VFW Naval Ship 7241, Port Jervis, N.Y., and a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Freytag of Cumming; son, Robert Burrell Freytag of Virginia Beach, Va.; daughters, Katherine Anne Pelland of Duluth and Jillene Marie Weldon of Decatur; sister, Carolyn Budden Shaffer of Matamoras, Pa.; and seven grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, April 26, 2008, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at McDonald & Son Funeral Home, Saturday, April 26, 2008, from 9 to 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 17, First Century Bank, P.O.
