Subject: Obit Messenger results for 05/04/08.

HOFFMAN, Robert L., 55, of Milford, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Chicago, Ill., he was the son of the late Raymond and Theresa Hoffman and was a tool maker with Tyger Tool Company in Stratford. He served in the US Navy and was a torpedoman serving aboard the submarine USS Henry L. Stimson (SSBN-655). He achieved many awards especially the "Dolphins" which signify that he was qualified in submarines and this award is respected and coveted both in submarine service and the Navy at large. He was honorably discharge in 1974 and was transferred to the Naval Reserve. Bob was an avid bowler and Mets fan. He enjoyed going to the casino with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his beloved wife, Terry Gasciewicz Hoffman of Milford; two devoted children, Robert W. Hoffman of West Haven and Kimberly A. Householder and her husband, Charles of Ansonia; two grandchildren, Evan Hoffman and Kayleigh Householder; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Phyllis Benson Lauria and Joanne Hoffman. Friends are invited to attend funeral services Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 10 a.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford and will be officiated by a close family friend. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Visiting hours will be held Monday May 4, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
