At random: "I saw the submariners, the way they stood aloof and silent, watching their pigboat with loving eyes. They are alone in the Navy. I admired the PT boys. And I often wondered how the aviators had the courage to go out day after day and I forgave their boasting. But the submariners! In the entire fleet they stand apart!” -- James Michener

Hey Blue: I'll be there to pick you up at the airport. Just let me know which flight.

Jon

Thanks Jon but my flight lands in Minneapolis this time....with 1 1/2 hours between flights....hopefully that is enough time to get through your Customs and onto the next flight....somehow, I doubt it.

..I DID stop by the PAMPANITO and even brought Kathy along with me......this was back in March last year, I met up with SOB and Larry from the board along with a few other guys.

I was hoping to meet up with you as well but you were busy looking after your Mum from memory.

another time perhaps.

Blue.

PS. yeah, you are right, this IS hard work!!....and expensive.....but I believe she is worth it.

Blue, Yes, I forgot you did stop by after your first sojourn to the US.

I was helping my 87 years young Mum and one of her biggest problems (besides me) is her failing memory. Guess it seems to be rubbing off on me.LOL

I still travel about 175 miles north three or four times per month to take care of her finances and assist with her medical/dental appointments.

It is hard to un--raise a parent as there are no guidelines or books to help.

A down side to it is that I do not get to the Pampanito as much as I used to.

Sorta like the US has handled our own integration issue, right?

Right. 150+ years after the War Between the States ended, we're still working on it.
