OK... somebody hep me out here. I have this research paper - obviously by a student - dated 2004.
The topic is "Specialized Submariner Speech from WWII to Present".

It is or appears to be extremely well done (I hope she got an A on it).

The problem is I don't recall the circumstances of who posted it - or emailed it to me - or how I came
to have a copy. Just found it while digging through 11 years of stuff I have saved from all the forum
bulls**t over the years.

Does anyone recall seeing it passed around on the forum(s) in 2004?

I want to give it a permanent (and prominent) place in my website but would like to have some
background on the young lady who did it. Is she someone's daughter, niece, whatever?

Any concrete info on this would be appreciated.

Its quite lengthy but most of you guys are probably connecting with something much faster than we
poor simple folk in the toolies who rely on a copper wire dialup. No there isn't cable here either.
But we do have satellite TV and flush toilets.

I remember when it first made the rounds on either this BBS or Rontini's, around 2005 I'd bet. PalmBayKen has provided a contact to the author's husband, a one-time boat sailor.

Nothing more to contribute, really, except to agree that it is pretty well done.
