At random: "Again I ask, who really are our Hero’s? They are the men who have, since the first day of our great country, left their families and friends and gone to war asking for nothing and giving all." -- Gary Walker

Skirt on a submarine? Could be she's trolling. Can't say it hasn't been done before.

Wrong, Bob, and probably wrong.
The railing is rigged on top of the sail when surfaced and in port (I've heard it referred to as the 'playpen'). To me it appears she is wearing culottes or similar ... not a skirt. She looks to be a 34A or so; I'm thinking the times have moved beyond bust size being a criteria for wearing the tiara. Ah well, it was nice while it lasted.

We stopped in Port Everglades on shakedown and had an 'open ship' day, which your shot reminds me of. It was one time I was more than happy to play tour guide.
I believe those stillettos are called 'f--- me pumps' in the trade ... but I could of course be mistaken. I do know they weren't healthy for the linoleum or whatever the decking material was below decks.

Thought maybe that was a Sonar Girl with a headset or even a 1/4gasket.
